Our Story
Make a Difference with
Your Knitting Skills
Take something you love to do and use those skills to help others. That's how Knit for Good began. As a self-taught knitter whose community was helping to resettle a Ukrainian refugee family in San Francisco in 2023, I wanted to contribute myself and recruited my friends to help knit hats and scarves to welcome the family. I formed a knitting club where I taught my friends to knit and shared patterns for their projects.

In 2024, Knit for Good continues to be an active and thriving community, now knitting for local homeless shelters.

You too can knit for good! Whether you make blankets for a homeless shelter or hats for a warm clothing drive, I hope you find inspiration on this website.
